    ... them and they were very good "tour guides" - Trevor is a wealth of information! I left the McConnells and drove north to "Alnwick Castle" (pronounced An-nick) - famous for many reasons, but most recently as the set for some famous scenes in "Harry Potter". There I met up with Max's tour again for a short time. We had beautiful autumn weather for most of the week, but here it was wet and cold - more like the weather we'd been expecting!     07:45 and the rain woke us up bouncing off the roof. Jayne opened the window blinds to see a queue of people waiting to set up for a car boot. Blimey, fair play to them. By the time we had dressed and had breakfast the rain had stopped so we had a quick walk around the tat on display. After that we took off and stopped off in Windermere for a quick look around.     ... over Morecambe Bay. We still couldn't find a site we liked the look of so continued on towards Kendal. 1.5 miles out of town and there it was Grate Farm. A little CL that was totally empty.     ... Windermere and watched a ferry like we caught yesterday. We stayed up the top soaking in the view for about 1/2 hour and then walked back down again.
