We had a great stay at this hotel. It's located just outside the main bit of the town. This is walkable and we enjoyed a few walks into town where you get to see some of the local markets. The guesthouse also has a tuktuk driver who will take you in if you dont fancy the walk. Staff were all really friendly and helped us book all our tours and activities. We really liked the bar/restaurant area which is so pretty and relaxing, just what you need after a busy day doing activites. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The room are very basic but clean and we had no problems.

Can't do more to help - Sawat is always there to give you a helping hand along with Ann!! We have a lovely stay - rooms are clean and well kept. The area is just outside of the town overlooking the river so it's quite and peaceful and it's only 60bt for a tuck tuck into town. Food is lovely - maybe a bit expensive depending on what you eat. Overall it was a lovely experience to stay here and we were sad to leave!

      Not the best 48hours...

Wednesday began well for Andy, while Emily suffered from an acute alcohol induced headache which meant that our day was predominantly based on lying down, reading, going on the internet and feeling rubbish (the last bit by Emily) By the afternoon though Emily was back to almost peak fitness, so we decided to go out for a meal. We picked a British/ …

There was one strong plan for the day today – read! Andy was almost at the end of Shantaram (a 944 page epic about an Australian who, having escaped prison, makes a new life for himself in Bombay) and was desperate to finish it (and move onto something lighter for a bit). Therefore the majority of the day was pretty relaxed. We had breakfast …

First morning in Chiang Mai, the hotel has a restaurant but as we needed to head into town to get washing done we figured we would eat out too. We set off in the general direction, intending to hail a tuk-tuk en route but ended up walking in all the way. We dropped off the washing and headed to Funky Monkey (again thanks to the Edwards) for a Funky …

      The
alarm sounded at 5.30am, by 6am we were dressed, shivering, packed
and in need of caffeine. By 6.30 we had checked in at the airport and
had found a coffee shop. By 7.45 we were on a small propeller plane
waiting to fly to our next destination – Chiang Mai. 9.30 we had

We were pleasantly surprised with Chiang Mai and disappointed we have to leave so soon. We have been here the the weekend and grown to love the our little and very basic guesthouse. It has a beautiful view over the river and a nice outdoor area with tables and couches we took advantage of to play cards this arvo. The room is just 3 beds, a bathroom …
