... Franschhoek, a lovey little town with nice shops and lovely restaurants. Definately a place id like to come back to. We arrived in Stellenbosch and checked in. Woke feeling like absolute **** so spent the morning in bed while ryan, graham and Yvonne went for breakfast. when they returned my request for a watermelon had been granted, albeit it had to be purchased from a manny at the side of the road! The views of the lagoon were stunning, we were lucky it was such a glorious day.
First stop, the bird hide overlooking the lagoon. No end of waders and flamingos and gulls and terns and swallows. ......We stayed there for ...

An early appointment at the spa this morning for a much needed manicure before loading up the car and heading off.
First stop, Kirstenbosch botanical gardens in Cape Town. What a fabulous place! We had intended staying here 2 hours tops but it was 4 hours before we could drag ourselves out! I had wanted to drive past Sahara Park (Newlands) on our way north just to have my photo taken outside but we got a bit lost so had to bin that and get on the motorway. I'll come ...
