      Got the morning phone call at 4:30am to wake us up for the morning drive. Must say it was totally worth it!!!!! We saw 13 lions feasting on a freshly killed zebra, elephant, rhino, leopard etc. Got back to the lodge and had a cooked breakfast at 8:30am looking over the lake. At ...

      ... dinner at the hotel. Dave went mad and had trout with rice - most adventurous!! He showed how cold he was by using a candle for warmth! Everywhere seems ill-prepared for cold weather and everyone's freezing - including the staff who were working in duffle coats and woolly hats!! There was a lovely big wood fire in the dining room though and we sat by that after dinner with coffees and then beers - very nice!

      ... to us that there may be a daily limit for vehicles entering the park. Nowhere had we seen this written, and nobody had mentioned this to us.       ... before I was to be transferred up to the Volunteer House for the next few weeks. A kept saying he wouldn't do them until after I had a nap, but that wasn't going to happen when I had only gotten up a few hours before. I did manage to get them done in the end though.
