... from the small, quiet campgrounds we have stayed at prior. But the location is excellent for our plans.

Setting up here was an issue as the site is very uneven. Took some doing but Nick got the jacks down and we don't feel too wobbly. But......he forgot to turn the water off and the toilet overflowed, into the bedroom and kitchen! Good thing it was fresh water. I needed to do a little house cleaning anyway.

We have to be in Colorado (Durango and Denver) in early July, and the challenge over the last couple of days was deciding whether to continue heading north up the California coast or begin a more leisurely eastward path over to Lake Tahoe and then further east toward the Rockies. We are at another one of these KOAs and this one is a beaut - double bed, bunk beds, kitchen, pool, spa, marina. All the facilities of a 5 star hotel but a total bargain price! This morning we had a chance to watch american tv for the first time. Would you believe we watched Michelle Obama being interviewed on breakfast telly and then she joined in a double-dutch skipping rope challenge!! Can you imagine that in the UK? Kate Middy ...

... eight minutes before the next ferry was to leave so rushed AGAIN. I bought a return ticket in the morning but Roy had only a one way and needed a ticket. We just got on under the wire...good thing the ferry workers were so helpful! Wow - this ferry was a high speed one and we flew back to Larkspur. It was getting dark so we sat inside and relaxed - enough being a tourist for one day!
