          ... meat, and a traveling dentist. Not sure what qualifications these "dentists" have and we didn't take our chances to have our teeth cleaned, but there was a line up so he must be doing something right. We stayed 4 nights in Shaxi but then it was time to move on. We biked to Dali with a stop over in Yibang for the night.

          ... i tried to get a train ticket to lijiang. a very friendly chinese couple form the hostel helped me to get a ticket because they also needed one. after that i tool a short walk through the old town and then went back for a short nap. in the afternoon i made a chinese sightseeing tour with the two girls. that means a lot of picture and posing...

          ... out the range of mooncake flavours. For us, a pastry featuring a 100-year preserved egg yolk at the centre didn’t set the tastebuds alight. Mel says the best flavour was: “None – they’re just gross!”
