... our 3rd night there. I joined Phil outside for a drink, mine was the chocolate liquor, for a while and then the wine and lack of sleep hit me and I headed for bed. This was a good day with lots of walking.

... but—BAD! After the show home for a bit before going to Melissa’s for dinner. She has been actin very cold toward Phil for the last year, so he wanted to see if I could notice. She usually greets me with enthusiasm, but this year I just got a weak ‘Hi Coonnnie, glad you are back. Never another word, even when it was just us and her sitting at the bar. So would guess we will not be going in there often, or maybe not at all.

... passes for the hop on hop off bus and then set off to walk the freedom trail which winds around the city and takes in all the historical sights. We visited several sites including the naval ship the Constitution which is the oldest naval ship that is still commisioned. They take it out in the bay every fourth of july and fire off a 21 gun salute with the cannons on board. It was free to go on board and ...

... too. I probably won’t be here then but will try to make it by then. A stop for a sandwich to take to the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. Blue sky day and supposed to be in the low 70s. We ate and then walked for about 2 hours, getting lost once but a nice walk. Only a few trees have turned color this low in elevation, but still a great place for a walk. ... blown so far out of the water, i figured what the hell. I'm just going to not look at the bank balance any longer and see what happens.

Our room was pretty sweet, with an incredible view of the ocean. Spent the rest of the day walking around Rockport. Dinner consisted of peanut butter sandwiches, in a sad attempt to reclaim some of the money spent on hotels. (But we did enjoy a nice lunch at Latitude 43 earlier in the day - Fish Burrito & Fish Sandwich..yum)
