    ... good fun :-) We stayed at Basil's hostel which I didn't like, there were 10 of us crammed in to one room, the showers and toilets were outside and the beds were uncomfortable.     ... week – sunny and reasonably warm. We were pretty active while in Queenstown going for long walks and bike rides as well as tramping the first section of the Routeburn Track and out again, however we were very slothful while visiting the kids …. So it's good to be back into our daily travelling routine of always trying to find a hike to do or a bike trail to ride.

    ... The rocks are being eroded by the sea and wind and so blow holes have developed in the cliffs. The tide was half way in and we could see and hear the power of the sea but we didn't see the sea forcing its way up through the holes as it would at high tide.
