... as all cows that produce alpine cheese must spend 100 days in the mountains.

Tired, with about 11 miles of walking under our belt (according to Cheryl's handy dandy app), we had a great fondue of three local cheeses for dinner. The waitstaff was great, and showed us the right way to season it, and also brought out a shot glass of clear liquid. When the waiter dipped a piece of bread in and let it soak, Cheryl ...

Woke up about 10.30am this morning as we planned to go on a cable cart up the mountain and then walk back down. Before we left I quickly FaceTimed mum and dad who is up North with grandma and Ron and showed them the Swiss alps! We then walked to the cabel cart and caught it up to the top. ... half the tour left and the rest of us brave souls were going to pray for dry weather! 8 of us set out at 9:30 on a trail that ran along the cliffs over looking the Lauterbrennen valley. It was suppose to be easy, there is a train that runs along it so if things got bad... rain ... we could get on in Winteregg, about halfway through the hike.

Two shops past the hotel we stopped for one of our tour members to get a hat and gloves. Dar and Don went in the ...

... this is where the city planners got the idea.

We kept walking on to the next village called Ginnewald. Here we stopped for coffee on a view point balcony and used the washrooms. I struck up a conversation with a nice couple from Chicago! They were on their honey moon and had traveled to the Alps after spending time in Italy. We swapped stories of our travels and they gave ...
