    The season does not officially start until next week so the main street was virtually deserted. Since the restaurant in the Hotel was not open, we walked 100 feet to the triple gondola station and ate with the locals at the Schilthorn Tavern.     ... Ouray is a mini version of this valley. The sheer cliff walls and waterfalls both look so much like this place in Switzerland. You know, Ouray is nicknamed "little Switzerland" after all. Seeing all of this makes me grateful that I live in a place like Colorado.

    ... crew came upon a revolving restaurant at the top of a mountain which was just being built. It then became the Villain's layer (Ernst Stavro Blofeld) in the film in exchange for help with infrastructure costs (the cable car!). Other scenes were shot in and around the area including the car park of the Hotel Saubbach. In the film Mr Bond does not die but skis off down the mountain being followed by the villain's henchmen, hence the naming of the run off the top as the James Bond ...
