We are packing up tonight and heading to MUNICH, YES MUNICH AND TO OKTOBERFEST! We have a long bus ride tomorrow, 7 hours.

... hike. We stopped at the small grocery store and picked some lunch. Then we took a 2 hour hike to Allmendhubel. It was a fairly easy hike with just a few uphill parts. Dinner was at the hotel Blumental where Joel ordered the Swiss staple, fondue. Tomorrow is our big hike day to ...
... Again, the Ouray connection. There is a similar box canyon water fall in Ouray, only it is a slightly smaller version.
The cliffs here are around a 2000 feet sheer drop. As we walked I kept hearing what sounded like a jet flying over but the sound only lasted about 3 seconds and was gone. Turns out it was guys base jumping. From the top of the cliff they jump off and fall for about 1500 feet. ...
... is a moderatly steep black run but with an impressive drop on one side which makes it seem worse. The real problem is the long run out which involves poling along even if you have kept as much speed on as you dare on the steep bit. It does feel strange poling along past the black piste markers warning you how difficult the run is!
Anyway, we completed the run back to Birg and headed for lunch. JJ and I went for lunch at the revolving restaurant at the top of the mountain. ...
