... was however the fact we had our hub caps from the car stolen over night! This caused us to spend about an hour at the local police station reporting it, rather a lot of forms that need to be filled in before you can get the crime number and they took it really seriously!! Not sure they could believe 3 women coming in the station!!
Well we are now back in the UK with some memories of laughing a lot, wine, coffee and lemon merguine pie!!

... petrol. Slight tension, then we decided to go back to Simon's Town and fill up before going down to CapePoint. Glad we did.

Simon's Town was the British Naval base here on the Cape until 1957, and there is still a large harbour and lots of fascinating colonial style architecture as well as said white beaches etc. We didn't actually stop there, but it's on the list for next time.
