Wicked hostel. One of the best hostels I've stayed in around the world.
Staff are amazing and so so helpful. Brilliant roof top area and the food at the hostel is unbelievable. With out a doubt I would stay here again. Everyone needs to stay here if the are in town

Relaxed Hostel

Harold is a great guy and runs the hostel and tours very well. We did two days of diving with Harold's Mansion and the Glenn was a great guide with the dive boat being the best we have seen in the Philippines.
The hostel was clean and roomy, they will do airport pick ups if you arrange in advance and there are free bicycles to use around the city. Only complaint is the inclusive continental breakfast, tea/coffee with a loaf of white wonder bread leaves a lot to be desired.

Budget Acommodation ... and budget for a reason

If you're only going to pay 500 pesos per night for a double room with ensuite bathroom you can't really expect 5 star deluxe accommodation, so we can't really complain about our stay there.

Room was clean, shower worked (hot water too, which is a bonus). Yes is was noisy and annoying having people chilling out and getting drunk right outside our door (room 208 opens out onto the chillout balcony), but it was only for 3 nights and it was CHEAP!

good if you're backpacking, want to meet fellow "travellers" and find out more about diving and travelling around the region. Not so great if you want room service, comfy beds and 500 count Egyptian cotton sheets

A Mansion, in every sense.

I had a deluxe room, which was big comfortable and all fully functioning. It was on the backside of the Mansion, i understand on the front side there is a lot of noise. Regardless of this the price is right, the cafe does some great tomato salads, and some of the best sandwiches i have had in the Philippines. The staff are all great fun, and only happy to help, the internet, while i was there worked a treat. Highly recommended. The Owner is currently embarking on building some eco hotel rooms...i wish him luck he is a great guy, full of knowledge and stories.

La sensacion general aqui es la de estar en sudamerica.Sin duda los filipinos tienen una filosofía de vida más relajada, que recuerda al caribe. I said a sad goodbye to Alona beach knowing that what lay ahead could be better or worse, cheaper, dearer, cleaner or dirtier. On the morning i was due to leave things didn't get off to a good start the hotel wouldn't let me swim in the pool, it was closed til after I had to leave. I got to the ferry station with over an hour to kill... only to …

13th - 16th March In Cebu I looked on the internet at the cheapest way to get to Damaguete. I had a couple of options, either get the ferry straight from Cebu straight to Damaguete or catch a bus to the bottom of Cebu Island and hop on a short ferry crossing to the city of Damaguete. I decided on the second option. I screen shotted how much the …
