The loooong flight

A travel blog entry by jjmeef on Dec 15, 2013

A fairly uneventful 8 hour flight to Hong Kong before a 4 hour stopover at the airport. Immediately after getting off the plane, we were escorted to the desk to sort some issue with our entry visas - thankfully only took a few minutes. Then, I realised that Justin didn't have his jacket - he'd left it on the plane (he blamed me but it was all him!). Since we would be landing in New York in sub-zero temperatures and it was his only jacket, we went to ...

It was a tearful goodbye and we will really miss them both. A short stop in Melbourne before a flight full of champagne and fun with a terrific flight crew and smooth flying. Then the long wait in Hong Kong, arriving at 5.30pm and not flying on till 0.45 am. There's only so much you can do so lots of walking round and round in ...

... him he's doing a good job and let him keep working. The rest of the class goes on to play a game for the last 5 minutes.

The lunch bell rings and the students scramble for their things and head for the door. I'm now at his desk again asking to see what he's been working on.

He's managed to gill in the first sentence and half of the second one. The letters all look like O's and C's- it's difficult to tell what words he'd chosen ...

Hong Kong, a skyscraper city

... home this evening. A walk down to Kowloon and the waterfront to catch the old and famous Star Ferry across to HK Island (this will be familiar to my sister!) where we were going to do a tourist thing of a bus site seeing tour. We thought this would be a good way of catching a lot of sights and with a commentary. So much to tell but the photos will do this. The only shame is that it is very hazy so not sure ...
