Right, I haven't written on here for a while.. Anyway, back to it. Went to Australia Zoo yesterday, Noosa is closer to it than Brisbane it seems and theres a free bus to get you there, so thats rather nice. Was a big double decker coach and it picked us up at 8.30 about 50 feet from my Hostel. A short ride later and we were there, at the big sign with Steve Irwin and family. Its a pretty nice zoo, lots of space for the animals, and they're expanding it from 75 acres up to 500 over the next fe...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia albwhiteheadWell, finally the rain has caught up with us in Noosa! We've had a good run up until now though so really can't complain! To say we love Noosa would be an understatement! Honestly EVERYONE should come here! We are staying at Halse Lodge which is a listed building and looks like something out of Little House on the Prairie! It's fantastic! There's a bar in-house and lots of really comfortable, CLEAN communal areas...something that has been lacking in other hostels! When we arrived on a Sunday ...
G'day mates, Bas http://www.halselodge.com.au

Noosa, Queensland, Australia binaunterwegsWednesday, December 13, 2006 I think I need to broaden my vocabulary because there are only so many times I can use the word paradise until it become totally redundant. I've been here in Noosa for four nights now, and honestly, that word's the only one that fits. I didn't pack a thesaurus so we're just going to have to stick with paradise. Sorry. Often compared to the French Rivera or Monaco, Noosa is definitely a vacation destination, rather than a backpacker spot. Trust me, there's a big ga...
Noosa, Australia chattermouthI have to say that I really didn't slow down much on the East Coast. In the short space of two weeks I managed to achieve many lifetime ambitions including, hot air ballooning, skydiving, white water rafting and sailing. But let's go back to the beginning. As soon as I found my seat on the plane to Cairns I, not surprisingly I guess, crashed out. I had been awake enough at the airport to spot that I had managed to book myself on a non-direct flight (oops) and that we were due to stop at a pla...

And for those that know Trista, CONGRATULATIONS to her and Pierre on the birth of Molly. I just heard and I couldn't be happier. That is one lucky baby! Meanwhile.... After giving up on Byron Bay (6 days of rain, wind, cold are enough) I headed up to Noosa. Stopped for a hike on the Glass Mountains, a mountain range which was tightly l...
Noosa, Australia coigreachHello! I'm back from Noosa, refreshed and ready to take on this ****** week. Noosa is an amazing town, and I'm so glad that I went! Saturday, I woke up around 6:30, tired but ready to go. Running to the train tracks, I luckily made it on time. Our group, Ross, Jamie, Nghi, Tai and me were tired but ready to head out for an adventure! After changing trains and boarding a bus we were finally in Noosa! Noosa is a beach town like Mooloolaba only with much more life. Cafes, beautiful restaurants, ...
Noosa, Australia hiatt84Oh! dark day. The clouds of ill-fortune and ill-temper form around me as flies might orbit the proverbial dung..... The inflatable pillow has been left in Rainbow beach. This, one of the more trustest of my travel companions has been cast aside cheaply, like a spent tissue. OH the shame! OH the humanity. How am I to live with myself???????? The shock, the horror. Someone cleanse this tortured vesicle of my tainted soul..... And so I arrived in Noosa. Which is Nice. Actually, it is nice. Very ...
