... for them ever since.

Only a couple of weeks ago I got informed about a volunteer position onboard the Africa Mercy, i.e. as a Media Liaison Officer. After having discussed this situation with my current employer, I decided to go for it! After the selection procedure, I got the official letter of acceptance: I would serve on the Africa Mercy from Jan - June. A new year, a new adventure!

I only had one month to get everything sorted ...

At the same time as the development the Technasium foundation was established. A Technasium was (at the time) new type of school with a heavy emphasis on science and technology. The foundation developed and certified specific schools to attain Technasium status. Schools ...

... white clothes and some sweet flower tennis shoes to add a bit of color to my outfit since shoes didn’t have to be white.

So after we were all dressed and ready to go we walked out to catch the bus. It was such a gorgeous day. One friend had a long coat on and appeared to have no clothes on since she had shorts on and wearing wings. My roommate had a short dress on and thigh high stocking with wings in hand. ... and traveling, so I don’t feel too upset to skip out on going to Maastricht or Antwerp (Belgium – only a 90-minute train ride from here).

Anyways, it is time to bid farewell to this fine country that has been such a good starting point for the journey ahead. I will miss you, stroopwafels, Dutch licorice, and bicycles. But we will meet again, I believe. For now, off to ...
