Dating back to the 13th century, the structure was a Dominican church until Maastricht was invaded by Napoleon in 1794 and the group was forced out of the country. Since that point it has been briefly used as a parish, then a warehouse, then an archive, then a giant parking lot for bicycles (not such a terrible idea) and finally made over into a bookstore. ...

... so watching the cameras span the crowds from the main stage was pretty unreal. There were three main stages, the other two called 'The barn' and 'KlubC'. The highlight for pretty much everyone in our group was Ramstein, and although that may seem a bit weird being the type of music they play, the atmosphere, the way they sounded and the show they produced was absolutely AMAZING! Werchter: The whole festival was set up just away from the small Belgian town of Werchter. Walked in to the town one day to stock up on beer supplies. I can imagine it would be an extremely quaint town most of the year until it gets taken over by the annual festival.
