We pick up the travel blog having said farewell to Patty and Bob in Amsterdam and following a nice walk in Rembrandt Park by the hotel on Monday morning, we were picked up by our dear Dutch friend of 42 years - Puck and Ben Roncken who served in Moose Jaw in the early 70's where Ben was an exchange instructor pilot. They took us to their home in Roermond where we spent a very enjoyable and relaxing day and a half.

Today we visited the fort and caves at Maastricht in Netherlands but as we were passing the Lindt factory seconds shop in Aachen we had to stop and shop. So we scored to the tune of €57. As luck would have it, the local airfield just ...

Incubus: Another one of the bands that I grew up listening to and they delivered with one of the highlights of the festival. Played all of their sick songs, it was epic! Ended up in another one of those death circles and still remember the etiquette of it. Everyone was rowdy as but as soon as you fell/got pushed over everone was there to help you up, and once the song had finished everyone high fived and was super stoked to be there. One of my ...

... master tells us that their market day is on Wednesdays. So we seem out of luck for sightseeing. Afie-the-shopper is disppointed, except that she found plastic punchos, which is the start of a stragegy in this weather.
For dinner, lamb and overdue brocoli well camouflaged under grated caraway gouda. Delicious.
