Marianne is returning today so we spent morning cleaning up the house and doing some preliminary packing and weighing getting things ready to head home.

... Instead, I was mostly forced to look at the hords of tourists which surrounded me.

Zürich was also nice, but left me with a bit of a weird impression of a super upscale place where everyone was very (too) trendy. Again, I just had a few hours and a bike, so what do I know.

Anyway, end of Switzerland. I was amazed by it's beauty and impoverished by it's prices, haha!

It is not that easy to have two people move in the same direction. Take the duration of the vacation. What sounds easy at first (two months of unpaid leave) becomes complicated once new jobs and bosses are involved. And the destination could have been Southeast Asia, Nepal or the Alps but became the famous Trans-Siberian Train ride, just because Joelle mentioned it. And because I liked it.

We tried to wake up super early, but we were a little slow moving once we finally got up so we decided to take our time getting over to the train for our ride into the mountains. On our way to the train station, we stopped at Coop, their grocery store, to pick up some pastries, juice, and stuff for lunch.
