My Favourite European Destination So Far

A travel blog entry by rhodes0t

... br> When we were going through the square that we were at the night before we noticed a whole lot of commotion. Upon a closer investigation of the situation we came to realize that it was 170 college girls in a drinking competition. We watched a girl dressed like a roman princess get carried in on a table carried by four guys in togas. Before they set her down she had to crush 2 beer which took her about ten seconds. They then set her down and lined up 3 ...

A proper introduction to an amazing city

... After gazing at the menu, we were sold. We sampled the flight of local brews offered by the brewery, and sat in perfect happiness as the hoppy goodness danced over our taste buds. We didn't know what to expect from Brussels, but so far, so good. Waffles - check. Chocolate - check. Beer - check. Now what?

This area is really close to where we're staying so we'll all hang out here at any given time. Just a bit further is the Town Hall, WHICH IS GORGEOUS. It's my favorite building in Leuven- I already decided.

Great Food and Beer

Day 2:
Started to wonder why I bothered coming here when I got off the train. Didn't look like much at first. It was a 1mi. walk to Maneken Pis, so I decided to wander that way and try to find a place to stay on the way. Nothing special until I got really close. All the sudden there are tourists everywhere. I looked up and saw the statue. Wow, that's it? There are stores everywhere around it selling chocolate, waffles and Maneken Pis stuff. Then I looked ...
