... S. Embassy might be close enough to sign documents.

So out into the sun and down to the pier. The pier here is quite famous. It is 500 meters long and has had a checkered history. It survived two World Wars and also survived misguided intentions to just pull it all down. Now it is being revived again with a marina scheduled to open next to it in a couple of years. For now, locals and tourists ...
Sopot, Baltic Coast, Poland carpefeline... milk or dark, white chocolate, and on and on. Oh the menu made one drool. My husband got a classic. I went for the white chocolate with raspberries. Deliciously decadent. How do these people manage to go to work each day? Just sit in the café and have one delightful flavor of chocolate after another. Swiss Miss has been relegated to the back pantry, possibly forever.
Sopot, Baltic Coast, Poland carpefeline... next to me if they want anything. They ask what they can get for whatever amount of change they have in the local currency. She sells them a snack and moves on down the aisle to the next row. The ladies have to poke her to get her to come back and give me a drink.

Into the furniture store. In the market for a new bed. That's expensive and one would think the ...
Sopot, Baltic Coast, Poland carpefeline... like a good deal plus we had been looking for a guide yesterday and just couldn't find any in English. We hope into her little electric golf cart vehicle and she plays an explanation of each of the historical buildings from mpg files on her cell phone. Sure can’t get my cell phone to do anything like that. We had already seen a lot of the things she took us around to see but she ...
Gdańsk, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland carpefeline... nach zu urteilen, war er der litauischen Sprache wenig bis gar nicht mächtig, aber keine Ahnung was fürn Landsmann. Gut, ich kenn da ja nichts, ich also rund heraus:"You're not from here, are you?!" - "No..." - "Where you wanna go?" "I thought about the Curonian Spit, but I guess today it's to late..." - "What??? Why? C'm on! I'm going there either, may I join you, Ive already been here, thats not far!!!" - "Why not... Danny, nice to meet you!" - "Martina, nice to meet you ...

Kaliningrad, Kaliningrad, Russia nayda_dew... that treaty with us (that is ******* off Russia) seems like their own way of showing their stubbornness to Russia. Their country has been repeatedly destroyed by war because they are surrounded by Russia, Germany, and Austria. Gdansk (called Danzig by the Germans) and Warsaw suffered the
heaviest bombing during WWII and you can still see the burned out buildings that were never torn down or replaced after all these years ...
Gdansk, Baltic Coast, Poland hagatha... apart. Every screw was undone, thankfully there were only 3 carriages. This made the train 30m late which turned into an hour by the time we reached Gdansk at 10pm. Went to my usual hostel but was closed, and Id removed the pages from my book, so went to main square where I thought there was one - couldn't find it so went to posh hotel who told me Gdansk was fully booked as he'd phoned around already and to try Sopot. Got on the local 1120 train and caught by ticket inspectors for ...
Kaliningrad, Poland ced... it was still on Polish time so no time for shower, no breakfast just packed and got on train. Svetlogorsk is an interesting untouched old German town with an interesting water tower! Train stopped at what I found out was Svetlogorsk 1 - confusion so asked for the centre - no English so made a decision to wait for Svetlogorsk 2 train. At train station like any other beach resort loads of tak, tak, tak shops (Polish Joke). Found beach - must be funny for everyone ...
Zelenogradsk, Poland ced... thought Id go for a drink with the ladies outside the shack. It was closed so one of the ladies gave me a bottle of beer, lots of laughs, the shack opened so I brought them all a beer, then big uproar the bus was coming and it was only 2pm - strange. I sprinted to the bus stop leaving my beer and not really saying goodbyes. Bus terminated at train station where Id changed trains - ****. No map no information so went for a stroll, found a hotel sign that ...
