Missed breakfast which is unusual for me. Walked down the main shopping drag. We were looking for lunch when a disheveled old man staggered and collapsed in front of us. I was first to him but a more useful lady who could speak Portuguese was next. He rolled over and had a bleeding gash in his forehead. ... I got tongue, tripe, fat, skin, bone and sausage in a bean and tomato sauce. I got through most of it, it didn't taste bad per say but it was hard to eat. Bit of a walk, bit of a siesta and then we geared up for the pub crawl. It was probably the highest level of involvement I've seen a hostel get.
