So I'm sorry but the planned 9 weeks blog is a sad 2 weeks only. I hope you enjoy what there is and ANY comments on here will be hugely and gratefully received. That way I know you have read it and that IF we are lucky enough to do anymore travel in the future, I will blog again.

... and finally once I got to Hillhead I managed to loose the dog's extendable lead. The bird feeder can be retrieved when I drive back along the Dorset coast, but the glove and the lead are gone for ever!

I have also been having major woes with technology. I have an old Sony e-reader and I decided to buy several books in anticipation of going to Spain. The purchase on line went smoothly but I just couldn't get it to download onto the ...

... the hill stations of India, only lacking passengers on the roof! Not ideal! Its a slow train stopping at every conceivable place but eventually we are at the Virgin desk, booked in, cases gone and at the restaurant of the Premier Inn wine in hand! This is more like it, the holiday has definitely started now.

Tuesday finally arrives and we're on the 1803 out of Exeter St David's after a quick beer in the Great Western. As we pull out we dig into our supplies, I head to the buffet car to pilfer some ice and we settle back to enjoy a couple of G&T's.
