An expensive ride but at least I tried. The weather is supposed to be great tomorrow...hoping. That is why I gave this place three days. September and October still remain the best months to visit. However, later in the afternoon, the rain stopped and the clouds broke away so I went for a 1.15 hour hike down to the next township called Zweilutschinen. It was ...

We went back to Interlaken and went to a chocolate shop to buy some Pave which I had heard about and to do some grocery shopping and then get in to cook dinner before the kitchen got crowded.

We had gone all day thinking that it was Saturday but realised it was Friday when just before we went to bed, I checked the weather forecast for the next day. Kleine Scheidegg, Swiss Alps, Switzerland sponger42I have been backpacking in many places over the years and seen so many wonderful places. But there is nothing that can compare to what I experienced today. The weather was perfect just a few clouds and absolutely brilliant blue sky. We got up early and caught the train to Wengen and then on to Kleine Scheinegg. We started at an elevation of 2612 ft at Lauterbrunnen and by the time we got to Kleine Scheinegg 6762 ft. The views from the train were breathtaking. It was at ...

Emma got a double espresso, Roger got two scoops of ice cream and Wells got a Jack Daniels cocktail. When we got back down to the hostel we met a group of students from Florida State University who were studying abroad in Velencia. We hung out with them for most of the night.
Interlaken, Switzerland ewilson... every day as you looked up into the mountains all around you and saw at least 10 people para-gliding. the sky was litered with the brightly coloured fabric of the gliders. We walked into lost of shops and admired watches that we could never afford. Thomas fell in love with a watch company called Mondaine. Thomas ended up getting a "Swiss Military" shirt and we bought a Swiss Alarm clock because the other one we got was rubbish.
