... a large ground squirrel like animal sign declaring entrance to Manning Park. It was the wrong entrance but needed to capture ourselves with the animal none the less. Interesting fact, if you have ever driven through Ontario you will know every little bump in the road has a gi-normous animal representing their town. So, stay tuned for a thorough collection of us on top of, beside, and riding these mascots for you enjoyment....or maybe ours ;)

so finally I am back at a hotel with 'free' wifi.

To retract - I bought a new mob phone to include internet, but as it was much faster than the hotel that I was staying in and I was a tad tired- I f'n blew my account out without even realising.

to quote 2 notable Australians. Maybe not such a good quote as it didn't end well for either of them.....

Such is LIFE

... be shipped to just offshore and sent to walk/swim to shore – saving the charge. People have avoided taxes in various forms for a long time.

We came back along the water’s edge and I realised we were not far from the Inn. We then went via Beacons Hill Park, which is obviously even closer to Beaconsfield Inn.

It was a short walk then to the Museum. We were so lucky as the Feature Exhibition was ‘The Race to the South Pole’ and it was amazing. ...

Anyhoo.. then on to the last garden - the Italian Garden. Again another gorgeous space. Managed to get to something for mum from the gift shop and made it too the bus stop with a few minutes to spare.



The Gardens themselves, were pretty darn amazing - it took me two hours to get around but if you were really into flowers & gardening it could easily ...

... for: "Flowerbeds, Newlyweds (lots of people honeymoon here) Nearly Dead (lots of retired people)" Then off to our afternoon tea at Venus Sophia Tea House in Chinatown. Included cranberry scones, Tea Sandwiches with mushroom mousse filling, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and feta and sun dried tomato filling sandwiches plus a zucchini red pepper quiche.
