A pleasant stay in basic accommodation with great food. The plus point was the trekking tour organised by the guest house. The best trek so far!

Excellent place to stay, simple clean and very helpful staff. The highlight would be the tours they run in to Khao Yai park. An amazing stay for the pair of us and very cheap.

Basic, clean accommodation and excellent tours

I strongly recommend Greenleaf for everyone who is not looking for comfort but adventure and a warm welcome.
I had both the half a day tour and full day tour for Khao Yai and both of our guides were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the surroundings as well as the animals. So both of the tours were great.
They also serve good food especially if you like spicy curries.
Even if you are not staying there try to check out their tours before you sign up for another.

Before leaving Bangkok, I took a bus to a shopping mall for a few things I wanted. I can understand the appeal of a mall here; it's nice and cool, plus everything in one place. The size of this mall was quite ridiculous though. I think you could have put five Bluewaters in here. I had to take another bus from Hualamphong to the northeastern bus …

To get to PakChong the quickest way is by minibus from Victory Monument. 160 baht. Here beside the BTS there is a a road between Victory Seafood and Century Plaza. There are venders selling tickets to places up to 3 hours away from Bangkok. Sometimes you have to wait till the minibus is full. The other option is to take a large bus from MoChit bus …

After sampling many Thai delights we decided to have a go at cooking some ourselves and signed up to May Kaidee's cookery school for the day, we declined the infamous Cooking with Poo because as tempting as it sounded we couldn't be bothered to travel any further than the end of our road. We had already eaten in may Kaidee's vegan restaurant twice …

It was the first time I’d spoken or listened to a Monk (as the only ones I seem to see are the ones with Ray Bans, briefcases and mobile phones sitting in the back of a Tuk-Tuk) and it was interesting to hear what they had ...
