... schnitzel that was again disappointing. Funny how you travel to their origin and they are just not the same as Newcastle's schnitzels. We have told everyone they need to come and have one of ours! And then a mousse to finish. We have an incredibly long and early day tomorrow to get to Venice so we are all going to bed pretty early. Today was a bit of a short day but we still did a fair bit. 3 countries in 1 day is not too bad!! Good night all and will talk tomorrow ...

Anyway as you picked I am typing this as we zing across Southern Germany about an hour from the Austrian border to Innsbrook, the snow is certainly back here, on the ground anyway, the scenery is breath taking to be honest, I never saw any of this while I drove around, starting to see the ...

I would recommend visiting Innsbruck just for the incredible view from the plane!

... was going to be a decent road trip back into Germany. Some spectacular scenery on the way with gagged peaks showing only a dusting of snow where they should have been covered and deep blue mountain lakes eager to swallow is if we strayed too close to the edge. Passing many other old castles, buildings and churches along the way we were excited to finally get to the castle, it would appear though that even with the cold a lot of other tourists had the same idea. Parking up we joined ...

... sipping a hot chocolate while I write this. It is made with hot milk and a chocolate on a stick that you stir in. Quite delicious. Yesterday's trip through the Dolomites was brilliant. It is literally breathtaking. I expected it to be beautiful but I do not have the words to describe the stunning areas that we saw. I am not sure my photos do justice to the scenery. I feel so grateful to have had the chance to see this area. Last night we went to one ...
