... day, exploring a little bit (and revisiting Maccas) before our next Peru Hop bus picked us up early the morning after. The next 'hop' was a long one! It took us 14 hours to get to Huacachina, with a short stop at the Nazca lines viewing tower in the last light of the day. Maybe it's better in the light but we didn't think it was all that impressive :S. The bus trip took us along the coast (yay, ocean again!) and it was pretty amazing scenery! The next ...

No apology for for the inconvenience, no 'prove to us that you're you', not even a 'we're repaying the money to your credit card right now'. ... pay another $20 when we arrived as our tour didn't take in 'all the lines'. I fail to believe that was the case, but we couldn't argue. I was then told they needed my passport, which I hadn't brought. It didn't occur to me that a scenic flight would need my international travel documents, but in saying this, I left it with my bags alone at the hostel which was stupid. After pleading with them they accepted my photocopies that we carry around for tourist police and buying ...

Day 30

... tent and walk back to meet the car in the snow for one hr. that was tough tough tough. Freddie has been carrying the heavy bags all the time. Without him doing that, I could never made it. Anyway we made it although we are suffered and exhausted. Once we back down to 1000m the vomiting is gone and headache is much better. Had Chinese food for dinner and slept at 8:00. Sent email to my hiking friends about this achievement. I am the first one up to ...
