... 4 of us, the others eating plain spaghetti made Michelin star with butter and herbs. Naomi branded her tea as poor-average pretty much reflecting everyone's opinion. Katie and Emma have gone to watch some of the music concert and have a last look at the lake. I can't wait to have a shower and then I have to pack up all my stuff which is really tidy as you can imagine. Got to be ready for tomorrow morning's train to Venice which we are excited for. Our last country ...

... look like a right pair of skinhead Nazis. Hold on, we're not in Croatia yet...

...but we are definitely in slozny blob eastern European territory. Just by going through a tunnel we have entered a land totally incomprehensible by language and highly differentiated by accent. I was going to take Kerry to some ice caves and the pretty town of Helstatt but it meant a bit of back tracking and we decided to push on towards Croatia. Because I refused to drive on the motorways so we could see more of Austria it took us from 10.15 till 5.15 pm to get to our destination. There was ...

Given away by the heading - today we have had a day of water sports. I'm sat by Lake Bled with Lucy and Katie whilst the others are swimming. We left at 9am, after being picked up by the activities people. Door to door service! First this morning we tried canyoning. This included jumping, sliding down very slippery rocks into very small, sometimes shallow pools, scrambling and also zip wiring. Our safety briefingj reassured us after he told us we must think ...

... them. We walked down to the lake after we arrived. It is so so beautiful and we are all really happy that we are spending 3 nights here. Lucy's not sure yet that it's better than lake jarun though. Walking round the lake was lovely and then we hired a rowing boat to get to the island in the middle of the lake. Lucy wasn't too sure and held onto the edge of the boat with white knuckles until we reached the island, at least she wasn't sick and she got ...
