Over our 20 days in Australia we feel we have done more than expected, seen a handful of its great sites, met friendly people and the country has left us wanting more! I have been very excited about Sydney for various reasons:
1. It is English speaking which means I can get a haircut without fear that I am going to come out with a mullet;
2. They have Nandos and proper shops;
3. We were staying with friends for one night in a proper home;
4. Amazing breakfasts;
5. You can put toilet paper in the toilet; and
6. I suppose they have some sights to see!!
... we'd said we were on holiday from, Salford in England. This was a day to remember already! It got better, for the same man mentioned that Frank Puletua was a member of the board there and his brother, Tony, has signed for Salford next year. (Confirmed Salford fans). It got even better still, for Frank, looking no different than he did before he retired from playing emerged from nearby. I shouted him over and he spoke to me and Jen for a good ...
... a good game the score ended up 1-0 so Greg was the hero for scoring the winning goal! When we got back to the house it was a quick change for me and then I drove to my trial shift and started at 6pm. The restaurant was so busy, they were adding tables to accommodate people, was mental!! Good way to lose those extra few pounds I've put on with all the walking you do! I got finished around 10pm and the manager said he was happy with me so far so I should get a few ...

After admiring the outside of the structure (it is a beautiful building), we decided to go inside. It was a bit disappointing to see the dark and unimposing interior, especially after having been so many times to the opera house in Oslo. Not letting this upset us the least, we sat down in a nearby café to look at the Sydney Harbor, the bridge and the opera house.
