"If you go down in the woods today you are sure of a big surprise". Not sure of what surprise but we had a great time in the Vienna woods outside Vienna. We caught bus 38 up to the top of the hill and started our walk down. The woods were lovely, green and refreshing. We didn't end up where we planned but where we did was nice. On the trams out to Schloss Belvedere. The two beautiful baroque palaces were initially built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. On the gentle slope between the Upper and Lower palaces, is a meticulously landscaped garden, showcasing fountains, sculptures and ornamental garden beds.

... 11 children at a family gathering. The children all seem to be between 8 and 10 and all look alike!

Being a bit over bus tours we skipped the tour of the city and remained in the gardens to see the zoo. It was much larger than expected, and the animals were active and seemed comfortable. Two pandas actively stripping bamboo and eating, jaguars walking and climbing, two polar bears moving in and out of their five pools. Delightful.
