    We spend a restful night in the Blue House. As so often on this tour the background sound is rushing water as the stream by the house tumbles down the rocks to join the Soca River.

    It's so nice to sleep in a real bed once more. And the buffet breakfast is a glorious luxury. We revel in it.

    ... friends and enjoy a little beach time.

    Just got the news that my niece in Italy had her baby today, so lots of celebrations going on. We're planning to return to Germany and Austria next year, and a side trip to Italy will be in order. We're hoping to get a longer visa for me next March from the German Consulate, so we won't run up against the problem again.
