The passes are blocked by snow
... I had a hotel booked here by the tourist office and they showed me it on the map. However what good is it giving someone a map with all the hotels listed if it does not have an address on it. I can see where the hotel is kind of located but there are hundreds of hotels in this town and with all its tiny narrow streets it was simply impossible to find the one I had booked. Finally I found one that was open and simply stayed in there for the night.

Chur and the train trip to Morges
... side. Now a race against time it's 11:49 - check out for the hotel is 12noon and the train goes to Morges at 12:16. We get to the hotel at 12:01 get our bags and board the train at 12:15 - now that is to the minute timing! We have to make a change at Zurich and Camille had only downloaded up to the 12.09 train, so with a bit of guess work using the previous train times, we managed to make the connection with about 8 minutes to spare! ... thing we had our binoculars! We had a small picnic lunch half way along and then made our way back down. Rod, Mägge and the kids caught the lift partway down while the rest of us walked back to the house. The whole hike was about 3 hours long and once we got back to the house, Mägge was itching to go for a bike ride. been added to the 'not really a country' list. The one impressive thing
is that castle built into the mountain wall, which is what you always
see in the pictures, on postcards etc etc, however the castle isn't even
