Being tourists and watching ski-flying

... off it at the end and see how far you can fly. The points are also awarded for the speed though so you have to go fast and far!

It was pretty crazy watching the people jump off and fly over the side of this hill. Then there were little markers on the track to help show how far they have gone. I realised the markers were made out of little bits of pine tree which they placed in lines in the snow!! There were some pretty awesome crashes ...

... the ski hire place in our little town and asked about hiring skis for me and a snowboard for Ben. It seems like its really cheap here it was only 12 euros to hire for half a day. There are plenty of little ski slopes around here with their own ski lifts which are apparently very cheap to use. There is no big ski resort in this area with lots of slopes, but it seems it will be good for us to pick it up again here because its not so steep. Hopefully we can do that ...

Today we had a drive day from Venice to Salzburg in Austria! Our drive was quite short and uneventful, aside from stopping at the greatest ever roadhouse for lunch that was staffed by fräuleins dressed in traditional kit. It was almost a bit creepy, as the roadhouse is part of a chain so all of their advertising signs were full of blond haired, blue eyed smiling women and children which was very odd...
