The next day we head out of Ulm towards what the map has shown to be a castle. It turns out to be a little disappointing, so we head next for a lake in Andechs, not far from Munich. Another little thing is that the curtains, while they look great and modern, are not blackout – so early in the morning the rooms is light. Also on the curtain subject, there are no gossamer 2nd curtains, so if you have the curtains open, the room is open ...

... enough to drive us to Stuttgart and after finalising our packages to send home and packing our packs, we loaded up the car and headed off. It was a great drive out of the valley with great weather but unfortunately on arriving at Stuttgart the rain was coming down. Elke introduced us to her friend whose apartment we were sleeping above for the night. We then headed into town, Raelene and I heading to the Mercedes museum and Elke and her friends heading to a local market. We had ...
