Today we combined a Hop On - Hop Off city bus tour with a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum that was on the route. However, when we arrived to get on the bus at the starting point 20 minutes early the bus was already full, so we needed a 1 hour wait for the next bus. Our trip has officially begun in Stuttgart, Germany. We were welcomed by Nadya's lovely German friend, Jonas. His roommate was sweet enough to stay at his girlfriend's so I could have a room to myself. Then after settling in Jonas made it his mission to ensure we were well taken care of and saw Stuttgart. Being largely a sports car, there were lots of racing displays and a tribute to the movie Cars, with a creation of Sally Carrera that actually drives. I couldn't find anything suitable in the Scratch and Dent sale area, so will save my pennies for the Mercedes exhibit ...

Today we got a late start due to a late afternoon flight from Amsterdam to Stuttgart, Germany. We completed a quick hotel check in at the airport then boarded a train for a half hour ride to Stuttgart City Center. The train station for city travel is located in the airport but everything is on a different level. Some are for inner city travel, outer zone areas, and regular long distance trains.
