... s quite humorous to see us racing our co-workers to get food, but really, being able to eat at work just cuts down our expenses that much more.
Today is an extremely windy day in Wellington. The wind always sems to be blowing here, but this morning when Mari and I went grocery shopping, the wind could actually move us. It was incredible. Last week when we were at our temp meeting we actually heard a story about a recent temp worker who got blown into the street of on ...

What I listened to: 80s 12” Disc one. Surprisingly this is as bad as it sounds! Fortunately two albums of jazz (looks left, raises eyebrow "Nice”) came to the rescue. The lush and sexy Coltraine and Hartman album that Dr Jim recommended and the wonderfully down-key In a Silent Way by Miles Davis who as Dan C would say is really rather special.
... at the moment. It goes on forever 2-3 miles consistent uphill- very steep!
No news on jobs as yet. I had an interview last Monday, which went well & am now awaiting
reference checks. I heard from Viv that they have (finally) requested reference checks, which is nice to know. I also have another appointment tomorrow with a different company, so fingers
crossed.
Last night we spent a lovely evening out at Nils and Margreets in Northlands for ...
Weather: we've backtracked a bit...overcast, windy, generally cold
Mood: Meh. It's a sad day.
Yesterday was chill and at home, so today I decided to venture forth and take the train into Wellington for some exploratory wandering. Not wanting to battle any work-bound commuters, I took my time about getting up and around, and so efficiently timed my arrival to coincide nicely with a lunch break for Ange. She met me at Wellington Station and took me for ...
... for mass anymore but can host events such as wedding. The place is beautiful, all carved in native woods inside. We reached the city centre to take the cable car back up the botanical gardens and grab the car. We drove up to Mt Victoria for the ultimate lookout of the city (very steep roads, could be in San Francisco!). After lunch, we headed towards the museum of tattoos.
By luck, we got to talk to the ...

Wellington, New Zealand mirja... Muutenkin on taas käynyt ...

Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand trekkers2... the nuts by doing some supersweet quadbiking through magnificent hillocks and rainforests, Archery and Sprint car racing around a track (fig 3). Quite a small track. Like a REALLY small track. ****ing tiny if anything. Next day we took an helicopter flight to a geyser volcano thing (fig.4). We rescued a singed duck on the way back and he came home in the helicopter (fig.5). The lady in the office ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand rickyfondantWe arrived in Wellington just before lunch on Waitangi Day - the most important New Zealand National holiday commemorating the signing of the treaty between the Maori tribes. After settling into yet another YHA, we set out to get some lunch before returning the car, to just outside the city itself. Heading back into Wellington, we past the Wellington Rugby stadium which was playing host to the New Zealand leg of the IRB Sevens, which was ...
