Eilen lauantaina jätettiin suurkaupungin syke taakse. Bangkokista jäi tosi hyvä kuva, voisin ehdottomasti käydä siellä joskus uudelleenkin.
Otimme siis aamulla taksin hotellilta Victory Monumentille, josta saa minibussikyydin lähes mihin päin Thaimaata tahansa. Hintaa Hua Hin'in kertyi kokonaiset 180baht per nenä. Ei järin paljoa.

... visiting Bangkok that day from Singapore. So I connected with Julie (thanks Liz!) and met her that night in Bangkok. Her friend Ang also flew in that night and we drank and dined at Above 11, a very swanky rooftop bar. Ironically it is modeled after Gramercy Park in New York, and the scene was very much New York with lots of expats and trendy drinks. The next day another friend of Julie's flew in from Singapore and the 4 of us took a shuttle to Hui Hin. Hui ...

... We continue walking along the corridor, the darkness occasionally punctuated by a splash of color caused by the sun shining through red Perspex walls that indicate access to a courtyard swimming pool located on the other side of the Berlin Wall.'s big brother. We arrive at our "Pool Villa", number 702. Okay Joe I'll stop calling it a room. It is a 260 sqm. 'L' shaped villa with a private courtyard and swimming pool with a view looking out across the Gulf of Thailand. The ...

... stuffed with prosciutto, potato, plus extras covered with Gorgonzola cheese sauce. Delicious. After dinner we chatted about Hong Kong & Macau and how things have changed since Beijing has taken control over both territories. As it was still early I went for a wander around the streets near by. I came across yet another night food market, only a few blocks away from the resort. Interesting mix of dishes. Then walked home and to bed.

This week has been full of TESOL training. We have been doing lots of lesson plans and learning about different types of lessons (eg reading, speaking, writing or listening). It has been really helpful and I am really glad that I decided to stay in Hua Hin longer and do the class. Apart from being in class it has been great to hang out with everyone here. I think I have written before on how different everyone is and that there are people here from South ...
