Eilen lauantaina jätettiin suurkaupungin syke taakse. Bangkokista jäi tosi hyvä kuva, voisin ehdottomasti käydä siellä joskus uudelleenkin.
Otimme siis aamulla taksin hotellilta Victory Monumentille, josta saa minibussikyydin lähes mihin päin Thaimaata tahansa. Hintaa Hua Hin'in kertyi kokonaiset 180baht per nenä. Ei järin paljoa.

Well after the manic travelling of the last 5 weeks we elected to change our plans for the last week and switch our stay in Bangkok to additional days at the beach. Given the events of the weekend in Bangkok it was probably for the best.

So we booked a cab from Bangkok to Hua Hin and what we thought was going to be a reasonable hotel with spa and pool. As it happened the resort turned out not to have a spa ...

... I said goodbye to mum and headed out to the bus, it was actually a really nice bus, big comfy seats and we got given water aswell an hour in and I was busting for a wee but it wasn't until 3hours in I realised there was a toilet at the back of the bus, it wasn't very nice though but did the trick, the bus took 5hours instead of 3 and we got diverted through some town that had monkeys everywhere! It was crazy, like there was ...

... market we stopped at a genuine outdoor market where Nancy and Ja shopped for veggies and meat (thru the stacks of pigs heads) while Alan and I sat with a couple beers from a local shop. For some reason you can't buy alcohol in the stores before 11AM and between 2 and 5, but the local Mom and Pop shops ignore that rule. Cold beer is an essential. Thursday Nancy and I walked along the beach a couple miles to town, then walked back along the main ...

Expect the unexpected on your travels and you won't be disappointed. I found myself peeing next to two monks in their long, flowing, orange robes in a bus station’s urinals and wondered how difficult it must be for them to negotiate discreet access and I then returned to the bus only to be greeted enthusiastically by one of the old drivers with " Oh handsome man, Sylvester Stalloy, Sylvester Stalloy!" For me that was a slight ...
