... got me about it was the fact that right beneath her name there were four Aron Franks. FOUR. Four Aron Franks without museums, without historical markers, without anyone to mourn them.”

It was a very moving experience, and I consider myself very lucky to have seen it.

After the Anne Frank House, we lightened up a bit with a visit to the Poezenboot- or in English, the Puss In Boat. This is a floating cat shelter, ...

... look. I couldn't help smiling at the entrance when a security guard was patiently trying to explain to a tourist that it was a museum and not the sexy show he was looking for! It was a very small museum but definitely worth a visit. It was good to get a different perspective on prostitution and learn more about the history of the Red Light District, although some of the facts were a bit shocking, for example a prostitute working full time with a regular number of clients ...

... 15 minutes to get tickets to the Van Gogh museum. As we left we looked back at the line and it had almost tripled in size! We walked around the block to the museum and the line was huge, about 400m long. We strolled past those suckers and straight into the museum. The museum was great, I had no idea Van Gogh had created so many pieces of art, practically one per day in the months leading up to his death. I also thought it was amazing that he was not ...

... ve both bought the book "the story of Anne Frank" so we'll just have to read about it instead. We got the bus back to the hotel and had pasta for dinner. Starting to feel pretty tired by now. Back to our room to squeeze our suitcases shut! Early start again tomorrow. Off to Munich. I must say, we've both really liked Amsterdam and what we've seen of Holland. Very picturesque countryside and very nice, friendly and helpful people. And even though you ...
