      clean and comfortable

clean room with a small balcony, feels a little expensive but it is central, has a hot water shower and is very clean, comfortable bed and bright room. The room is to the front so bring ear plugs to get to sleep, not very noisy really considering the location but ear plugs are helpful.
Restaurant looks good, but as the street food is so tasty and cheap we haven't eaten in it.
A few extra touches would really make the rooms a bit more comfortable, a chair or two and a small table, especially given the size of the room would be great.

      Good family value

A double balcony room easily accommodated a family of four. Spacious and clean and basic. Third floor room wasn't ideal with a pushchair but we got used to it and they offer a storage service downstairs for 10baht a day. Room was quite, only heard street noise really when the door was open, and heard the cockerels in the morning. Could hear a chair being scraped on the floor in the next room, but no tv or talking so fine. Also, wasn't rowdy. Didn't get woken up to the 1am backpackers staggering back, seemed to be full of lovely guests!
Restaurant Thai food was lovely, but western breakfast atrocious. Staff are friendly though.
We'd come back, I fact I think this is where we would always stay. Wonder if it will be the same without the balcony though!!

Helpful staff. Good price for the location, located in an alley adjacent to the Khaosan Road. Large rooms. Hot water. Free complimentary water. Cheap breakfast available. Would definitely stay here again as much cheaper and better quality than the surrounding hotels.

If you don't mind getting yelled at by the receptionist, this is a simple, clean and fairly spacious place at a good price. The room we stayed at was bouncing from the sound of the night club above. We didn't mind, but if you are a light sleeper, you won't get any piece until about 6am.

Hello friends and family from the 35 degree heat in Bangkok. Yes, we have made it here without any issues and we're ready to begin our 'great adventure.' We've checked into our hotel which is pretty basic but it's got a double bed, a shower, air con, free wi-fi and only cost £6 each per night so we can't complain! We're in this hotel for two …

Well our first night in Bangkok was pretty crazy! To say this City is lively would be a big understatement! The main strip, just a few minutes walk from our hotel, is similar to a strip you'd find on your average lads/girls holiday. The only exception being that the bars aren't full of 17/18 year-old Brits trying to get as drunk as possible! The …

Bangkok hasn't been all bad to us. We've enjoyed our stay here and would happily stay a few days longer if we thought it was safe. SATURDAY 1st FEB We arrived on Saturday, jet lagged and bleary eyes and headed straight to the fabled backpacker area of Khao San road in Banglamphu. It's not quite as rough as depicted in 'The Beach' fact that …

We made it. We survived 20 hours of various travel with a 5 1/2 year old and a 1 year old. And you know what? It wasn't that bad!! We had an 1 1/2 hour drive from our house to the airport, 3 1/2 hours wait for the flight, an 8 hour flight, 1 1/2 hour 'layover' in Mumbai, a 4 hour flight and a 1 1/2 hour journey into Bangkok (Banglamphu area). Just …

Well I think it's safe to say that we are enjoying Thailand. From the food to the weather and the very polite people, it is just fantastic. We went to the China town area the other day and what a place, we get around Bangkok mostly by ferry bus, once off the ferry we found all our senses assaulted in a most pleasant manner, the smells of the street …
