We had no traffic traveling by bus from Tanah Rata to Kuala Lumpur on February 5, and arrived ahead of schedule (what a difference from our Penang-Tanah Rata bus of two days earlier!). ... selling head scarves of every possible colour, pattern and description. We meander around little India, and saunter through Chinatown where we find somewhere to eat. We then spend a happy hour or so getting lost trying to make our way back with the glittering Petronas Towers acting as a guiding point. We didn't get to see them up close today, but we will have plenty of opportunity as the week goes on.

... and park like area which makes walking quite enjoyable in the mornings. Walking in the afternoon 35 degree heat and 90 percent humidity sucks. We made it back to the room about 2 and hunkered down in the AC until venturing out to city center and had supper at the world famous Petronas Towers. Funny how rich people always build tall buildings to name after themselves. Some day someone will buy and preserve a forest. Now that would be impressive!

... Tim and i were totally impressed . We continued on our walk and went to the hornbill Restuarant for lunch enjoying the air con inside. Outside the deck looks down into the bird park and we saw a gold hornbill in the trees. Kuala Lumpar hosts the tallest twin spires in the world, The Petronas Towers provide an excellent 360 degree panorama of the entire city. I was stupid enough not to recognise the female only sign on a certain carriage of the train to Batu Caves. The conductor politely asked me to move carriage, I embarrassingly obliged.
