      ... who had warships in the harbor and were bombing the island. Venizelos was the politician responsible for making Crete a part of Greece in 1913. There were beautiful views of the town from this hilltop. There is a small church there which was rebuilt with funds from Csar Nicholas the II.

      We then went to the town center to the market which was opened ...

      ... just after 8. It was a tour with about 15 in a small bus. The drive to the beach is about 2.5 hours through the mountains. We had a few stops along the way. The tour guide fabulous and provided great information and the history and lives of Cretans. Some information about Crete.       ... matter, especially since I pictured my childhood pet Patches, but I dove into the leg anyways.  What I will say is the sweet white wine and rosemary sauce was amazing.  The rabbit was tasty also - not gamey at all.  At dinner I met a couple from Switzerland and we chatted a bit.       ... I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed.  Actually, it was quite helpful.  I was able to get they layout of the city and I learned several things are within walking distance.  The tour took me to the park of the Venizelos Graves, former prime minister of Greece Eleftherios Venizelos and his son.  Also in the park is the historic church of Prophet Elias, dating back the the 16th Century. ...

      ... 160;I did awaken at one point for a bit, but I wasn't ready and turned back over - why, because I can.    As for this moment, well I am sitting at a sidewalk cafe, overlooking the water and I just finished .375 liters of a Rose, now working on a Stella and asked for something with lamb, tzatziki sauce and veggies - you figure out the rest.  There are so many things to see, to do.  I want to squeeze the life out of every nick and cranny ...
