We used to come to Langebaan in the early 80's when I was in the Air Force. If you blinked you missed the town. There used to be a boat on the lagoon called the Big Bunny... I think. We wake up with the birds at Velddrift – ok not really I have been awake most of the ...

They are in your nose and mouth and ears...we are suddenly reminded of Australia outback....there is just no option as to continue driving to get away ...

A Couple days after the Hike I met up with my Belgian friend, Jef, who I had met in Mendoza, Argentina whilst traveling there in 2008. He had facebooked me a few months earlier and told me that he had the chance to buy a real bargain return ticket to JHB and asked me whether I'd like to travel with him for a couple weeks. So I went through to pick him up on Long Street in CPT and went wine tasting the following day around Stellenbosch. We went to Uitkyk, then to Muratie also on the slopes ...
