All and all it was a classy and fun event. It wasn't as culturally different as I expected. Besides a few differences it was very similar to a formal sit down reception in America. I will say at the end of the evening everyone started smoking and it became a bit nauseating (at least to me a non-smoker). When we got home I made Ronan and the girls take their clothes off and everything went right into the wash.

EXPO NO!!! Shanghai Yes
... were cold and refreshing, the wine was dry and red and the desert was sweet. The company and conversation was lively and we were excited about our change of venue tomorrow and our trip to Lake TaiFu and Wuxi. We were unsure of what to expect, but knew that Jeff would not steer us wrong on one of his hotels.
We were scheduled for a 10 am pickup and transfer and really didn't know where we were going other than a dot on a map.
