... in Dominica (even though it was a trek to get there, it was well worth it!) The drive from the ship port was about 45 minutes up the winding mountain until we arrived at Morne Trois Pitons National Park where Emerald Falls ...

... to Dominica where I thought I might be able to buy a USB stick.

No such luck, the shops are all closed apart from Diamonds International and their outrages prices and a couple of other DF shops and market stalls. Apparently just about everything closes on Sunday in Dominica. Again ...Murphy's Law !!

I shoulda gone for the Apple rather than the %^$@##$^&* Lemon.

Most of the hydroelectric energy the island produces (which is roughly 40% of the total energy created on the island) is derived from the Freshwater Lake. The lake itself was nothing major - basically what looked like a marshy lake way up in the mountains. To be fair, it was raining or drizzling up there, as it often seems to be at high altitudes, and is a popular location to go swimming or kayaking, ...

... went to was called Secret Beach and had signage on the road. (Secret?) I didn't make it all the way to the beach as it got too steep and slick for me so I sat and had my picnic lunch on the trail while everyone else went down. It was a great way to spend an hour.
