We said goodbye to Joy yesterday evening which was a bit emotional. I can not wait to go myself right now. 11 Weeks and 3 days before I land in Rio. Not that I am counting!
I am yet again one step closer though: After booking the tickets, moving bedrooms, forever not trying to spend any money and Joy leaving already, I decided to tell work about my traveling plans. It was such a relief! Slowly but surely my time will come! Muahahaaa!
i was at my bowling ally with my family and this really hot walked past
he goes to my bowling club and i am always flirtting with him and we
always have a laugh. but i dont know how to tell him i like him and i dont
know how he will react. but i am not bothered that much even though i
am like in love with him. oh well
Today we went for a drive to Dartmoor, a seaside village at the mouth of the River Dart.
For lunch I had a pasty (I love Cornish Pasties!) and an English Toffee icecream with clotted cream - yum!
In the evening we drove back to Liskeard through Dartmouth National Park, which had some great views (hard to photograph though unfortunately) and we even nearly hit a wild horse which ran out in front of the car!
... action.
For some time we had discussed the feasibility of undertaking charity work in the developing world. Our travels in South East Asia and India had been a real eye opener. On the one hand we saw such poverty that initially all I wanted to do was go home. This was before Slumdog Millionaire had opened our eyes to what life is really like in the world's fastest growing economy so it was quite a shock. Whilst on the other hand ...
... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...

Well not a lot yet to report on Newton Abbot we are just chilling out a bit.
Cycled into Newton Abbot today to have a look in the shops, same shops ...
Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.
We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.
The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!
Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!
Hope you like the vid and pics.
... quite a bit later.
Once on the coach (a whole hour and fifteen minutes later) I fell asleep in no time. So so tired!
At the moment I am sitting in seat 70D which is the last row of seats in the plane and I will be sat here for the next 11 hours. So far Thai boxing and the Phi Phi Islands have been recommended. I hope to visit both of them.
And the adventure has begun..."
... and figuring out where the fun stuff is like tv rooms and games rooms. We aren't too worried about them, but try to keep them coming back every once in a bit to say where they are.Our room had a view of the lake out it's window and behind the building we had a great waterfall that we went for a walk beside the following day. We also stopped at Keswick a town with a Pencil museum. Found out how they make pencils!! Interesting the boys loved it! Soon into Scotland!
