... of one upheaval after another. This city has rebuilt itself so many times, after WWI, then split after WWII, building two cities, then putting them back into one after 1989. Everywhere seems to be being remade. I am a bit shattered tonite, whether it is just the heat, or being nearly on the home strait, or the combination, I'm not sure. Tomorrow we are off to Copenhagen. ... a gunman on the loose, but it was a Free Palestine and Gaza demonstration. Peaceful but you could see desperation in their eyes. Pots damper Platz was next. Now we're back at campsite, Birkenzee, and getting ready for supper. This campsite is different again! Fabulous facilities and clean as a whistle. Free hot water AND toilet paper AND soap! ... which was a full square block of concrete boxes. The design was amazing and made it feel isolating and disorienting to walk through. The walking tour ended at the Brandenburg Gate, which was unfortunately, it was blocked off for the soccer match.
