... stay. At some point, we ended up having to leave because we were due for our next appointment. They discussed the infrastructure development that went on for the World Cup in 2010, as well as their master plan, which included the second largest Tender in South Africa. It was interesting hearing a government agency speak, because they talked about sourcing in South Africa vs. overseas - a luxury that a business (that exists to make profits) might not have. ...

I arrived in Grabouw on Sunday evening and was dropped off at my accommodation for the next 6 weeks. Kromco have kindly arranged for me to stay with the lovely Elana who lives in the town of Grabouw. I have my own apartment with it's own entrance including a kitchen so I can cook for myself. Wherever we go there are parking attendants. ...

... bridge over Storms River (see photo). Due to it being out of season and late afternoon we had it almost to ourselves. This is a special location. Day 9 Today we set off on one of the hiking trails through the forest. We soon had to start shedding the umpteen layers required early morning as the sun started to filter through the canopy. The trail eventually lead us back to the coast and not satisfied with one hike we set off along the first part of The ...

The day started at the Manenberg People's Centre where we were paired off together. Tim and I were paired with Eva and Jolene to see a total of 4 patients in the 8 hour period. The walk from the centre was about a mile to the first patient. We were greeted along the way….(some more personal and physical than others) but thankfully we were escorted by a mentally ill man who showed us that you can still see a half moon during ...
