Amsterdam - some shops that tickled my funny bone - For people with more taste than money - Everything on a stick - Chech and Chongs Lounge - Chipsy kings ...

My mum's friend Sasha lives in Rotterdam, a small city just outside of Amsterdam. We all went round to a cafe where we met Sasha and sat down for a drink. At about 11am we all got up and went down to Vondall Park. Sasha left us as she had to get back so we just wandered around until 1pm when we went to get lunch. After lunch we went to get my dad, tom and lucy as they had decided to go ...

The bikes are very interesting. They have seats built in the front and back of the bikes. Many people ride side saddle on the backs too. This does not even mention the bikes with the built in box containers for little children and babies. Jaw dropping to little ole ...

... To calm the nerves we head to an old windmill/bar for a local beer. Fi rides on the back of Marcelles bike and I follow. It doesn't seem like anyone bothers washing the glasses - they simply squirt water inside to get rid of the old beer residue. Beer was still delicious. Next stop closer to town for some Nacho's, a visit to the coffee shop and a wander through the Red Light District. Cycle fast home as it is freezing!
