Leaving Ushuaia we took a twelve hour bus to a town called Puerta Arenas where we stayed for only that night (not much to report on there). A pleasant place to start and finish
We really liked Puerto Natales because of its unassuming nature. Nearly every other house is a hostal, there are plenty of restaurants and outdoor shops (selling outdoor gear), and the people all seem very friendly. Vorbereitungen fuer die grosse Tour
Gegen acht Uhr ging es in El Calafate in Argentinien los und gegen 13:30 Uhr waren wir in Puerto Natales in Chile. An der Grenze nach Chile haben wir zwar ein wenig gebangt, ob wir alle unsere Lebensmittel einfuehren duerfen, aber letztlich gab es keine Probleme.
