An early alarm before getting to Addo national park for an 8am game drive. We spot some sable antelope on route which apparently are very rare as our guide has only bet seen them twice before. We start the 'nature' drive by being split onto two separate 20 seater jeeps, quite why 2 people couldn't sit together out of 60 people I still don't quite know. The front jeep with stu mark and Lynn get stopped by a group of elephants whilst our 3rd jeep are 6 cars behind so unable to ...

The choice of spending a month in Cape Town also worked well. It gave us the time to plan our visits and tours with sufficient "spare" time to file our pictures, write our blogs and re-visit places that we liked. It allowed us to enjoy the autumn sunshine and avoid the occasional downpour.

The food has been exceptional, from road side pit stops to fine dining, all ...

We arrived in Cape Town at about 15.00 and took an expensive taxi to our hostel. Our hostel was called "Once in Cape Town". It turned out to be a very nice place with a very cool staff (mostly foreigners / volunteers). Because of the high season (New Year´s coming) it was a bit expensive (originally USD 19 per person and per night but finally we paid USD 16) so we had ...

... by Lungisa and a good one at that. We dined on our last meal in Cape Town with a beautiful view and we were back to the house to pack up and prepare for the long flights. It’s just before the flights and I don’t think it has hit us yet. I hope to someday come back because this is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. The next few days will be a reflection, and will make for a great final ...
