We were picked up from our hotel at 10.30 ready to fly at 1.30 to Dubai. Guess what there is fog in Dubai so already delayed three hours so could possibly miss our connecting flight back to London. Bad times. Not much to do as airport quite small but at least we have each other!!! After a long flight we have finally arrived in Dubai!! With yes guess what another delay!! ... feet. One girl, Alaina, was not happy about going, yet was forced to since she was out voted. The first 30 meters were exciting, but after that it was rough. Alaina was having a hard time dealing with the heights so we had to stop every 15 meters or so. It got so bad that she had a partial panic attack. There are two restaurants on the grounds; the upscale Camphors at Vergelegen, and the new, more relaxed, Stables at Vergelegen Bistro. One can also get a picnic lunch and eat outside under one of the beautiful 300 year old camphor trees.
