... viewpoint and saw Bromo, which was a much better sight than sunrise. The morning mist swept over the volcano as the sky got bluer and bluer. When everyone could finally see in daylight, we got mobbed by Asian tourists; everyone wanted a picture with us. We had to grimace with our 5am faces as they lined up to have a picture with us. ... stay 6 hours in a hotel room and try to figure things out. The bellhop took us up to our room (#911) and then proceeded to ask me if he could take a picture with me...I looked like complete **** after being on a bus for 10 hours! We both showered and tried to figure out how we could get to Kampong Tourist Hostel. We were using our compasses, the guidebook and google maps to determine the fastest route there and spend minimal amount of time walking ...

... moment of washing my hair in the river, which was fun, and because it was a pretty fast flowing river, we had lots of fun playing in the current and sailing down stream - it was like one big lazy river!

Our week in Sumatra has been one of my favourite weeks so far, if not THE best week. The loved being in the rainforest and experiencing the animals up close. We only scratched the surface and there's plenty more to see and do, but we'll have to save that for another ...
