Dream Heaven Guest House Udaipur

Our comfortable, if a little bumpy sleeper bus arrived at 7.30am, it was 18oC and we were freezing! Its unbelievable how we have adjusted to the heat so quickly. Our guest house was very cheap and the views from the terrace across Lake Pichola were stunning.

Mon 4th Feb After an eventful journey (involving a missed train. jumpong off a moving train, three buses and lots of scary people) we arrived in Udaipur and it was areal breath of fresh air. Today we awoke all excited about our train trip to Delhi and flight to Kathmandu, but with a feeling of sadness that we would be leaving Udaipur. We arranged for a private car to drive us to Delhi over night, with a 10pm pickup. It was the same guy who had taken us to Chittoragh as arranged through Deep. The bus to Udaipur from Jodhpur is a luxury bus. This means it has assigned seats above which are metal boxes that are called sleeper berths but look like ideal for cattle transportation. The best thing about this bus is it's horn. Imagine all slotmachines in a vegas casino spinning a mega jackpot at the very same time. Hi all Just to let you know we are safe! Landed Saturday morning in Mumbai, to then be greeted by the wonders of transport! Hour and half taxi ride to our hotel left us with white knuckles and deaf ears. Horns are definitely the most common noise in India!
