... to go surf big wave bay on the smaller days when it is less crowded and I can hopefully practice catching waves on Vera (yes that's what she's called. Don't ask me why!). Right now I mostly just struggle a lot, so lots and lots of room for improvement (and many wipeouts). Hope the guys in the lineup will go easy on me, but we'll see! At least Buddy gave me some good tips about how to deal with them and where to go sit so at least I've got something to work with ...

Last time we were on the other side looking ...

... harbor with lights on their buildings all light up choreographed to music. This ain't no Disneyland show (although you could probably see it from Hong Kong Disneyland). Today, we took the train to Lantau island, site of Hong Kong Disneyland, the airport, and the Big Buddha. Even though the island is right next to Hong Kong, the land is pretty undeveloped, very foresty. When we got to the metro station next to the tram up to the Big ...

... up, love it. Back on board, it's another end of one leg/beginning of another, so we have to have the life boat drill again. Lots of new people on board some only going as far as Singapore others are on until Southampton. As I mentioned before, this leg of the cruise is busy, very few sea days. This will be exciting though as the culture us so different, there are I think 3 ports in Vietnam and also a visit to Thailand as well as Malaya and Singapore. So all go!!! ...
