        ... the television describing the race and all eyes are on the screen as everyone cheers the cyclists on.

        As the winner crosses the finish line, the bar erupts with excitement and I find myself cheering along beside them. What a day! Walking out the door of the bar I am only mildly aware I am walking as if in a permanent squat. I manage to make it back to the car and watch the sun set as I head home to Leuven.

        ... I was in the Flanders region of Belgian that pretty much only speaks Dutch. It causes some tension as the south prefers to speak French. Everything was in Dutch as we walked by so I wasn't able to read anything whereas I can kind of read the French writing. We walked through many historical buildings and even walked by the worlds first stock exchange!         ... out the area. Lots of restaurants, open air cafés, cobblestone streets, brick and mortar buildings, a beautiful bell tower. We stopped and had a typical Belgian meal at St Amandjste.         ... fruit from the farmers market. We stopped to take in the last minute views and sights the city had to offer before hopping on a train to Brugge, Belgium. 1. They obviously get lots of contiki groups through and so our tour managers had nominated which guys had to go up and their names were read out, they were not pleased!
